A Town Council must make its decisions at a meeting, so all items that the council wishes to consider have to be discussed at either the full council or one of the delegated committees. In law, the agenda has to be displayed three clear days before the meeting and only items listed on the agenda can be decided on.

The council can set up ‘task and finish’ groups to research matters. These ‘working groups’ cannot have any decision making powers but can carry some of the workload of the council.

Accessibility Working Group responsible for researching accessibility issues in Bexhill reporting to the CNE Committee – Cllrs Plim; Izzard; Thomas; Baldry
